We are a sponsor and active participant in the Poultry Welfare Auditor Certification Training held annually, whose mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals through education and certification of auditors.
While GoTo Foods is not directly involved in raising, transporting, or processing broiler chickens, all of our broiler chicken suppliers are committed to evaluating new techniques and emerging technologies to ensure the humane treatment of chickens throughout the production process.
Our vendor qualification and quality assurance processes are designed to ensure we are sourcing animal proteins, including poultry, dairy, and egg products from responsible suppliers who meet our standards and apply industry best practices as they relate to animal welfare. The company’s internal Quality Assurance team routinely conducts on-site audits or compliance reviews through third-party verification programs.
We are committed to the highest standards of food safety in our restaurants, bakeries, and shoppes. We comply with all applicable FDA guidelines, including those related to the use of antibiotics in animal-based protein. We seek suppliers that share our values and are working toward common goals.
We rely on the guidelines established by organizations including the National Chicken Council, American Meat Institute, AUS-Meat Limited, American Humane Association, National Turkey Federation, National Pork Board, and United Egg Producers.
GoTo Foods has committed to sourcing cage-free eggs. While not a large user of eggs, we commit our ongoing cooperation to work with our suppliers to effect meaningful and positive change in the humane treatment of animals. We may also reevaluate our commitments from time to time.
