Ordered 2 Large "Hot n Spicy Chicken" plates to-go. Customer service was fine, nothing too special. Five minutes into driving home, the paper bag is completely SOAKED on my floor of my car. I get home about 10 minutes after that and everything is drenched and I had to open everything over the sink as it dripped. The boxes are those plastic oily kind that will collapse when stacked. Normally, this wouldn't phase me too much but the food itself was extremely disappointing. Though we ordered chicken dishes, it was waaaaay more vegetables than anything with maybe a tiny scoop of tiny bits of chicken you have to really look for. The sauce was pretty bland as well and is more watery than anything. I really wanted to like this place but ended up quite disappointed.

Awesome no frills counter served mom and pop Japanese cuisine! Very reasonably priced food, excellent for slipping away to a quiet lunch on a busy work day. The teriyaki is hands down some of the best in the city.

I've been eating here for 10+ years and it's consistently good and somewhat healthy.

I have been eating here a few times a month for about 6 years. It's delicious. Definitely has a lunch rush during lunch hours. The bento is a perfect size and very affordable. Fast service. The egg rolls and katsu are my favorite.

This is absolutely the best teriyaki place in the Portland area! I have been eating here for more than 20 years and many places have came and gone but Kokiyo is still going strong. This place is a hidden gem. They have an amazing teriyaki sauce that cannot be beaten. Family owned, small, and quaint. Very clean with great customer service. Super prices as well!!
