When Chris and Amy moved to the 'bright side of the Bay' to raise their family, they saw a need for a community coffeehouse like the one Chris' dad opened in 1989 on Potrero Hill. Even during the depths of the recession, the community quickly embraced Farley's East as a place of belonging, where everyone is welcome. This blend was developed to appeal to modern coffee-drinkers while also being easy to sip with its bright, sweet flavor and mild acidity. It can be used for drip, pour over and as espresso. Blend makeup: 50% Guatemala Hueheutenengo, 25% Brazil Minas Pulped Natural, 25% Ethiopia Yirgacheffe.
Coffee from the Huila region of Colombia is always a treat, but we find this coffee special because it was cultivated by Cesar Augusto Tapia Diaz on his 6-acre farm where he lives with his wife and two daughters. Cesar has taken a great deal of care to intercrop his coffee, which helps him better manage the health of his farm and provides his family with another source of income and food security. This is a classic Colombian; clean with mild acidity, resulting in a sweet and balanced cup.

This blend harkens back to the Potrero Hill of the 90's when people lived and worked in warehouses, poetry readings at Farley's were common and classic motorcycles were the preferred form of transportation. Updated for the modern yet nostalgic palate, this deeply roasted blend is so smooth and versatile; you can brew it hot to enjoy its dark chocolate and molasses qualities, or as a cold brew you just may taste tootsie roll! Blend makeup: Equal parts Guatemala Huehuetenango, Colombia Huila, and Honduras Comayagua.
